Broken Hill to NZ to The Gold Coast to Langkawi

I left broken Hill on the 2nd of May with fond memories of my time there. I worked with a great bunch of midwives and nurses

My flight was delayed due to plane malfunction and missed my connecting flight to NZ. But all was not lost.... I was flown to the Gold Coast to connect with a flight to Auckland from there, where I met up with my sister and bro in law and we enjoyed a meal on the beach together before my departure.

I had a wonderful week with our daughter and my neice in Auckland and felt what it was like to work in a cafe. Their cafe is in Mt Albert called "Cosset" which has been open less than a year and I was proud to see first hand the effort they put in to make it not only a success but a warm, friendly and unique atmosphere. A day spent doing dishes cemented my choice of being a midwife!

I spent a most enjoyable night on the Gold Coast with my twin sister and bro in law before flying out to Langkawi, Malaysia. Eric met me at the airport with flowers. It sure is lovely to be home..
We have been staying in a motel on the beach at Cenang. It is a very popular tourist spot with many water sports viewed from our balcony

Tonight we fly to Kuala Lumpar then on to Dubai where we join Eric's mum. She is flying from NZ with an ANZAC reunion group. We then fly on to Athens for the beginning of a weeks tour of Crete for the 70th commemoration of the battle

About Me

My photo
We met in 1971 and it was Eric's dream to build his own yacht and sail the world. This became a joint dream but it was not until 1994 that we were able to start building. "Erica" was launched in 2001 after 7yrs building her. It then took us 5 yrs to prepare her and ourselves before leaving NZ to see the world
